I have this connected to my car through the AUX port and the sound is phenomenal. Previously I had installed a Parrot MKI 9100 and the sound was complete trash in comparison. Upon starting my vehicle, my phone or tablet will automatically connect and the phone/tablet will open the music player of my choice and starting playing whatever song I was last listening to. I only have 2 minor gripes with the unit. The first, is the USB cable that came with it for charging my device. The connection isn’t very good so it is inadequate for charging. It appears to be on the micro usb plug side that the issue is occurring. The one other issue I have currently is the apps size(15 MB’s once installed). It is the largest app on my phone which makes no sense. I did however email the developer and they were very quick to respond and it sounds like they will be looking into ways to shrink the size(apparently it has to do with all the station lineups it downloads).

I should note, I have not tried testing the quality when using the FM transmitter so I can not speak on behalf of that. Overall though, I must say that this + Xoom/Nexus One + Music PlayerPro is bliss. Don’t be discouraged by the reviews on the android app market. Most are because people don’t realize you have to purchase this hardware for the app to be useful, even though it clearly states such.

I read reviews before purchasing this unit and they indicated this is the best quality FM transmitter to produce almost broadcast quality sound. I did not find that to be the case. I have returned it. I’m also surprised by the written return policy of the vendor. It states a refund will be subject to fees if the product is not returned unopened. How the blazes can you know if it works properly and is worth the money, unless you do open and try it? It was the most expensive unit of the ones I was considering, so I expected it to be at least satisfactory in sound quality, but it wasn’t. It produced a static “lisp” type of sound on all high frequency sounds such as a cymbal strike or anything with an “S” sound in a word.

Update. Even though my package was returned and it was obviously opened, since I returned it for reasons of dissatisfaction, I did get a full refund.

I have used TuneLink Android with both the AUX out and the FM Transmitter, and I think both sound excellent. The AUX obviously is more clear and the way to go if you have an input in your car, but the FM is great as well. In response to the other reviews on here that talk about a “lisp” sound or distorted “S” sounds, all you have to do if this is happening is turn the phone’s volume down a few clicks. The FM volume is a bit boosted when the phone is turned all the way up, and for loud material, I noticed the same thing until I turned it down. The little boost is great though when listening to audiobooks or spoken word that is quiter though…

All in all, great product!

I cannot describe how much I’m enjoying this phone. It has to be the most perfectly designed piece of electronic equipment I’ve ever used. Totally intuitive, easy to use. Typing messages is uncannily accurate. 16 GB unit. I have 700 songs synch’d with a high quality import setting, lots of apps and a few videos and still have 10 GB free. The 32 GB is not necessary unless yo want to download a lot of movies. Oh… and the screen is absolutely crystal clear and tremendously high quality.
